Dwarf Peach Tree (Jan 2012)

Dwarf Peach

The dwarf peach tree is the tree that I am most surprised about.  I mean, it’s *dwarf* – surely it doesn’t grow!  However,  if you compare to yesterday, obviously it has grown a lot – particularly when you consider that the tree now lives in one of the LARGE beige containers, not one of the small ones (the lemon and lime have both graduated to the garden proper during the last year or so).  No fruit this year (it seems it be a ‘growing’ year instead. I got a whacking great lot of fruit last year, but sadly all except one peach suffered from fruit fly (or similar). I will try and be more prepared next year. I have never pruned the DPT, but plan to do so after the summer finishes.
